Welcome to Beyond the Coast (beyondthecoast.world). These Terms of Use and Service govern your access to and use of this website, its free content, digital products and personalized trip planning services when they are made available.

By using this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the website. Additional terms presented on a product page, service page, order form or checkout page form part of these Terms. If there is a conflict, the more specific terms presented for that purchase will apply.

1. About Beyond the Coast

Beyond the Coast is an independent travel content website focused on romantic beach destinations, travel inspiration and practical planning resources.

Paid products and services are available only when the relevant product or service page expressly states that purchasing or booking is open. Displaying a description, package or indicative price does not by itself constitute an offer capable of acceptance or create a binding contract.

2. Informational Purpose Only

Content published on Beyond the Coast, including articles, destination guides, sample itineraries, hotel suggestions, estimated costs and recommendations, is provided for general informational and editorial purposes only.

It does not constitute legal, medical, financial, immigration, visa, insurance, safety or other regulated professional advice. Prices, schedules, entry requirements, availability, weather conditions, local rules and safety information may change without notice. You are responsible for checking important information directly with current official sources, including government authorities, embassies, airlines, accommodation providers, insurers and tour operators before booking or travelling.

3. Personalized Trip Planning

When available, Beyond the Coast may provide personalized travel research and itinerary-planning services based on the preferences and information supplied by the client. These services may include destination research, accommodation suggestions, activity ideas, route planning and a proposed day-by-day itinerary, as described in the selected package.

Personalized trip planning is an information and planning service. Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, Beyond the Coast does not act as a travel agency, tour operator, booking agent or representative of any airline, hotel, tour company, insurer or other travel supplier. We do not make reservations, issue tickets, collect supplier payments or enter into travel contracts on your behalf.

You remain responsible for:

  • making and reviewing all bookings;
  • checking names, dates, prices, cancellation terms and reservation details before payment;
  • obtaining passports, visas, permits, insurance and any required health or entry documentation;
  • confirming official travel, safety and entry requirements; and
  • deciding whether any suggested destination, accommodation or activity is suitable for you.

A recommendation does not guarantee availability, price, quality, safety or suitability. Travel suppliers are independent third parties and remain responsible for their own products, services and contractual obligations.

4. Information Required for Trip Planning

You agree to provide complete and accurate information reasonably required to prepare your plan, such as destination preferences, proposed travel dates, approximate budget, travel style and general accessibility preferences.

Do not send passport copies or passport numbers, payment-card details, medical records, diagnoses or other sensitive health information. Beyond the Coast does not request or require these categories of information for trip-planning services. If you have accessibility, dietary or wellbeing considerations, describe only the practical travel requirement you would like us to consider, without providing medical documentation or unnecessary health details.

Delivery dates may be adjusted if requested information, feedback or approvals are provided late or are incomplete.

5. Enquiries, Orders and Formation of Contract

An enquiry, waitlist registration, contact-form submission or request for information is non-binding and does not require either party to proceed.

When purchasing is enabled, a binding contract is formed only after:

  1. you have received the applicable service or product description and total price;
  2. you have accepted the terms presented at checkout or in the written proposal;
  3. payment has been successfully completed or another payment arrangement has been confirmed in writing; and
  4. you have received written order confirmation.

We may decline an enquiry or order before a binding contract is formed, including where the requested work falls outside the advertised service, creates a conflict of interest, cannot reasonably be completed within the requested timeframe or would require handling information we do not accept.

6. Service Scope, Delivery and Revisions

The exact scope, price, estimated delivery date, deliverables and number of included revision rounds will be stated on the relevant service page, order form or written proposal. Work not expressly included in the selected package may require a separate quotation and additional payment.

A revision means a reasonable adjustment to the agreed itinerary within the original brief. A change of destination, major change of travel dates, substantially different budget, replacement of most recommendations or a new itinerary may be treated as additional work.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise, personalized materials are delivered electronically to the email address supplied by the client.

7. Digital Products

When available for purchase, digital products may include downloadable travel guides, checklists, templates or planning resources. The applicable product page will describe the content, file format, compatibility, access method, price and any material technical restrictions.

Digital products are licensed, not sold, for the purchaser’s personal, non-commercial use. You may download and use the product for your own travel planning, but you may not reproduce, share, upload, distribute, resell, sublicense, modify for resale or otherwise make it available to another person without prior written permission.

If a file is defective, corrupted or cannot be accessed, contact us with the order details so that we can investigate and, where appropriate, provide replacement access or another remedy required by applicable law.

8. Prices, Payment and Invoicing

Prices and accepted currencies will be displayed before an order is placed. Any applicable taxes, charges or payment conditions will be disclosed before checkout. Payments may be processed by an independent payment provider identified during checkout. Beyond the Coast does not directly receive or store complete payment-card details.

You agree to provide accurate billing information and to use a payment method you are authorized to use. An invoice or other required accounting document will be issued in accordance with the applicable legal and tax requirements.

9. Consumer Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the European Union or another jurisdiction that provides mandatory cancellation rights, you retain all rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

For an online service contract, consumers generally have fourteen days from the conclusion of the contract to withdraw without giving a reason, subject to applicable exceptions. If you expressly request that personalized work begin during this period and later withdraw before completion, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for the service already performed, to the extent permitted by law.

If the service has been fully performed during the withdrawal period following your prior express request and acknowledgement, the right of withdrawal may cease where permitted by law.

For digital content supplied without a physical medium, immediate access or downloading will begin only after any legally required express consent and acknowledgement have been obtained. Where the applicable legal conditions are satisfied, beginning the digital supply may result in loss of the statutory right of withdrawal.

The relevant checkout or order process will present the applicable withdrawal information and any required express requests or acknowledgements before payment. These statutory rules do not limit remedies available for defective or non-conforming digital content or services.

10. Cancellations, Refunds and Rescheduling

Any package-specific cancellation, refund or rescheduling rules will be displayed before purchase and will form part of the contract. Nothing in a package policy limits mandatory consumer rights.

Where no mandatory right to a full refund applies, amounts attributable to work already completed, reserved production time or delivered digital materials may be non-refundable to the extent permitted by law. If Beyond the Coast is unable to provide a paid service, we will offer an appropriate alternative, rescheduling or refund as required by applicable law and the circumstances.

No refund is due merely because a third-party travel price changes, an accommodation or activity becomes unavailable, or the client decides not to book or take the proposed trip, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

11. Affiliate Links and Commercial Relationships

This website contains affiliate links. If you click an affiliate link and make a booking or purchase, Beyond the Coast may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not change the price charged by the third-party provider unless expressly stated.

Affiliate links and sponsored content will be identified in accordance with applicable requirements. Please see our Disclosure Policy for further information.

12. Third-Party Websites and Travel Suppliers

Beyond the Coast may link to airlines, hotels, booking platforms, tour operators and other third-party websites. Your booking or purchase from a third party creates a separate contract between you and that provider and is governed by that provider’s prices, terms, cancellation rules and privacy practices.

We do not control and are not responsible for the availability, performance, security, content or policies of third-party services. You should review the provider’s current terms before completing a transaction.

13. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, original text, itineraries, downloads, branding, graphics and other materials created by Beyond the Coast are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws.

You may view website content for personal use and share links to publicly available pages. You may not copy, republish, scrape, reproduce, distribute, sell or commercially exploit substantial website content or paid materials without prior written permission. Rights in third-party photographs, trademarks and materials remain with their respective owners.

14. Acceptable Use

You must not:

  • use the website for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or harmful purposes;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website, accounts or systems;
  • introduce malicious code or interfere with website operation;
  • submit spam, unlawful material or content that infringes another person’s rights; or
  • misuse, share or resell paid materials.

We may restrict access, remove submitted content or take reasonable protective action where these Terms are violated.

15. Availability and Changes to the Website

We may update, suspend or discontinue website content, free resources or future offerings. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the website. This does not affect an existing paid contract or any mandatory rights relating to a completed purchase.

16. No Warranties

To the extent permitted by law, the free website and its general editorial content are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that all content will always be complete, current, accurate or suitable for every traveller or purpose.

This section does not exclude any warranty, conformity obligation or consumer remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Beyond the Coast is not responsible for losses caused by reasonable reliance on outdated third-party information, decisions made by independent travel providers, cancelled or delayed transport, denied entry, weather, illness, accidents, political events, natural disasters or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, breach of mandatory consumer rights or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

18. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy. Please do not submit personal information that is unnecessary for your enquiry or service.

19. Minors

Paid products and personalized services are intended for adults who are legally capable of entering into a contract. A parent or legal guardian must make any enquiry or purchase relating to travel by a minor.

20. Complaints

If you have a question or complaint, please contact us through the Contact page. Please include sufficient information to identify the relevant order or issue, but do not send payment-card information, passport data or medical documents.

When paid sales are activated, the legally required trader identification, complaint-handling and applicable alternative dispute-resolution information will be made available before a consumer places an order. Consumers retain the right to contact any competent consumer-protection authority or dispute-resolution body available under mandatory law.

21. Governing Law and Mandatory Consumer Protection

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hungary, without depriving a consumer residing in another country of any mandatory protections provided by the law of that consumer’s habitual residence. Any dispute will be handled by the competent courts determined under applicable law.

22. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the website, products, services or applicable requirements. The revised version will be published on this page with a new “Last updated” date.

Changes do not retroactively alter the terms of an existing paid order unless the change is required by law or expressly agreed with the customer. The version accepted at the time of purchase will apply to that order.

23. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the extent permitted by law.

24. Contact

Questions about these Terms may be sent through our Contact page.
